Short synopsis
Based on the 2018 book “D’argent et de sang” by journalist Fabrice Arfi about the multi-billion carbon tax fraud that was dubbed “the fraud of the century” by French media.
Paris, 2009. The true story of the scam of the century. Billions are going up in smoke on the new 'carbon quotas' market, invented to fight pollution. A gang of small-time crooks from Belleville partner with an upper-class trader to carry off an epic swindle. This is what happens when casino capitalism collides head-on with politics. When human passions going far beyond simple greed are unleashed.
